This situation in Iraq is unraveling fast for the President. The GOP's worst fears may come to fruition... It had been predicted that the most difficult part of this "war" would be to construct the "peace". This is proving to be very much the case. An Islamic Fascist government would be a disaster for the US administration. The time is NOT right for an election of any kind this year. To try and do otherwise would make a mockery out of democracy.
Unless the internal differences between political groups can be worked out, these elections should be postponed. U.S. election year politics cannot be allowed to create a disaster that may never be unraveled once Iraq is declared as a sovereign nation.
