Clairvoyant Cat Predicts Patient Deaths

There must have been a good reason why the ancient Egyptians recognized something other wordly about cats. Pretty freaky. This talent, exhibited by Oscar, might in fact be one of those Stephan Kingish attributes.
"He doesn't make too many mistakes. He seems to understand when patients are about to die," said Dr. David Dosa in an interview. He describes the phenomenon in a poignant essay in Thursday's issue of the New England Journal of Medicine.

"Many family members take some solace from it. They appreciate the companionship that the cat provides for their dying loved one," said Dosa, a geriatrician and assistant professor of medicine at Brown University.

The 2-year-old feline was adopted as a kitten and grew up in a third-floor dementia unit at the Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The facility treats people with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease and other illnesses.

After about six months, the staff noticed Oscar would make his own rounds, just like the doctors and nurses. He'd sniff and observe patients, then sit beside people who would wind up dying in a few hours... More...

French People Disagree with Copernicus

Are the majority of French people really illiterate or just basically dumb? The answer may be yes if this video is a sampling of the mental horsepower of the average French TV viewing audience. The following video was lifted from the French version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Ok so you have to read the subtitles, but it's worth it. Not only is this guy dumbfounded by one of the most basic questions most elementary school kid knows, but the audience seems to be just as dumb as he is!!

The Majority of French People Are Dumb - Watch more free videos

Two questions we would like answered: Is this audience a real cross section of current French intellect? and... Are we witnessing an end to those awful Polish jokes and give the Polish people a break?

Barack Obama Schedules Summit with Satan

Wondering if Barack Obama spoke without thinking during the last debate when he claimed he was willing to speak unconditionally with some of Americas most staunch hate mongers? Well, Hillary is all over him and like a cobra ready to seize its opportunity to strike, she is spitting right in his eye. You gotta love politics like this... Scott Ott today rips both of them in his latest satirical piece:

(2007-07-25) — Building on his debate remark that, as president, Barack Obama would meet face-to-face with the leaders of China, North Korea, Iran, Syria and Venezuela, the Illinois Democrat Senator today said that he also plans to solve “perhaps the world’s greatest problem” through executive-level bilateral talks with the Prince of Darkness, Satan.

“As I see it, you can’t have lasting peace without Satan’s cooperation,” said Mr. Obama. “We can’t keep following the failed Bush administration strategy of only talking with our allies. I’m willing to invest the time to find out if we have something the Devil wants that could bring an end to war and strife.”

Rival candidate, Sen. Hillary Clinton, immediately branded the comment as naive, and “symptomatic of Barack’s lack of experience in the realm of politics.” --- as reported by satirist Scott Ott / ScrappleFace

Hillary and Obama Duke It Out

From Cox and Forkum:
The sparring began Monday at the CNN/YouTube debate, in which a viewer asked candidates if they would be willing to meet with leaders of Iran, Syria, Cuba, Venezuela and North Korea -- whom the United States has called rogue leaders. ...

Charles Kupchan with the Council on Foreign Relations said that Obama and Clinton were essentially saying the same thing, which is that dialogue is important. ...

He noted that although the Bush administration took office vowing not to talk to North Korea or Iran, it reached a deal on North Korea's nuclear program through negotiations and now is sitting down with Iran to talk about the violence in Iraq.

"At the end of the day, history suggests that only if we talk to our adversaries do we resolve disputes," Kupchan said.

Actually, history suggests that we resolve disputes with adversaries only if we defeat them first (e.g., WWII), after all we're talking about adversaries who openly advocate our demise. However, it is worth pointing out that Bush, Clinton, and Obama are all ultimately willing to talk to such adversaries as if they are rational, which is not rational.
It's quite apparent that Barack Obama's naivety and inexperiance caused him to step right into the trap laid by the caller. Say what you will about the You Tube approach of asking candidates direct questions, but this one really did uncover a high degree of immaturity in Barack Obama's response that Hillary Clinton is milking till the very last drop.

Round II ??

Michael Vic Thrown to the Wolves

Here for your amusement we have selected three very special social cartoons lambasting Michael Vic for his "alleged" barbaric blood lusting behaviors. I used the word "alleged" loosely. The stupidity and naivety of some of our multi million dollar professional sports superstars never ceases to amaze us! :

More on the Michael Vic story in the event you have been in the dark. We wish the good people of Atlanta Ga. a fast recovery from their shock of learning about this latest episode in dysfunctional professional sports! Acting Presidential Powers Returned to Bush by Cheney

(WASHINGTON) — Following several hours as “acting president” of the U.S., Dick Cheney voluntarily relinquished the title back to George Bush yesterday when the latter emerged from sedation after a colonoscopy.

Administration spokesman Tony Snow said the White House functioned normally during Mr. Bush’s procedure, and that having the vice president officially at the helm may have even increased executive branch efficiency by “cutting out the middle man.”

The vice president said he was glad to get back to his regular job of “running the country” and away from the added stress of both “giving orders to, and taking orders from, myself.” -- as reported by satirical reporter Scott Ott / ScrappleFace

Most Americans by now know that the President has had several polyps removed from his colon during a routine colonoscopy. For several hours, Vice President Cheney, was steady at the helm as the President's bowels were invaded by physicians. It's good to hear that the President now has his acting powers restored!

Uncle Sam Wants You (Quiet) Poster

Great photo-shopped poster representing a bill which was floating around in Congress this past week which would have protected a whistle blower from extraneous law suits for exposing suspicious activity should it later be determined by authorities as unfounded. It is possible the measure will be taken up after the current recess.

Democrats had refused to take it up during their week of make believe pressure on the White House regarding the Iraq conflict.

Our over worked politicians squashed voting on the bill after the all nighter they pulled to lull their constituency into thinking they were doing all they can to end the conflict in Iraq by unilateral withdrawal. Better luck next time. (With this bill to protect whistle blowers.)

In the meantime, while we are all being asked to be observant, make sure you have a good lawyer lined up before you actually open up your mouth lest you find yourself facing a lawsuit from the likes of CAIR for sharing information with investigators that might in fact be faulty. Sad.

Bush Ponders Royal Riddle from Queen Elizabeth

Here is something on the lighter side from one of our readers. Thought we would share it with you this evening. Almost wet my pants... Thanks Meg...
On his trip to Great Britain, George Bush had a meeting with Queen Elizabeth. He asked her, "How does one manage to run a country so smoothly?" "That's easy," she replied, "You surround yourself with intelligent ministers and advisors."

"But how can I tell whether they are intelligent or not?"

"You ask them a riddle," she replied, and with that she pressed a button and said, "Would you please send Tony Blair in." When Blair arrived, the Queen said, "I have a riddle for you to answer for me. Your parents had a child and it was not your sister and it was not your brother. Who was this child?"

Blair replied, "That's easy. The child was me."

"Very good," said the Queen. "You may go now."

President Bush went back to Washington and called in his chief of staff, Karl Rove. He said to him, "I have a riddle for you, and the answer is very important. Your parents had a child and it was not your sister and it was not your brother. Who was this child ?"

Rove replied, "Yes, it is clearly very important that we determine the answer, as no child must be left behind. Can I deliberate on this for awhile?"

"Yes," said Bush, "I'll give you four hours to come up with the answer."

So Rove went and called a meeting of the White House staff, and asked them the riddle. But after much discussion and many suggestions, none of them had a satisfactory answer. So he was quite upset, not knowing what he would tell the President. As Rove was walking back to the Oval Office, he saw former Secretary of State Colin Powell approaching him. So he said,
"Mr. Secretary, can you answer this riddle for me? Your parents had a child and it was not your sister and it was not your brother. Who was the child?"

"That's easy," said Powell, "The child was me."

"Oh thank you," said Rove. "You may just have saved me my job!" So Rove went into the Oval Office and said to President Bush, "I think I know the answer to your riddle. The child was Colin Powell!"

"No, you idiot!" shouted Bush. "The child was Tony Blair!"

French Minister: Hamas and Al Qaeda Collaboration Not Our Fault

Common sense from a French Foreign Minister? What’s this world coming to? Hamas has contacts with al Qaeda - French minister.

PARIS, July 18 (Reuters) -
Palestinian militant group Hamas has contacts with al Qaeda, French
Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said on Wednesday, adding that this was not the result of Western pressure to isolate the movement.

Kouchner was reacting to comments by Italian Foreign Minister

Massimo D’Alema this week, who said the West’s policy of
isolating Hamas, which seized control of the Gaza Strip last month,
could push it into the arms of al Qaeda.

“I think Hamas did not wait for this extreme situation —

the current terrible situation in Gaza — to have contacts with al
Qaeda. And it would perhaps be too simple to think that we, the international community, are responsible,” Kouchner said.

Wow. A French diplomat who doesn’t toe the standard European

self-loathing appeasement line. Truly, the apocalypse is at hand.

Review: New Release of ScribeFire 1.4.1

ScribeFire 1.4.1 by Christopher Finke was released today by scribefire.com (previously Performancing for Firefox). It's a great plug in for Firefox users that actively blog. Several GUI enhancements were made, mostly cosmetic, to the previous revision but it does represent a commitment by Christopher Finke to continuously improve one of the best tools for the active blogger who relies on the awesome Firefox browser as a publishing work horse.

ScribeFire (previously "Performancing for Firefox") is a full-featured blog editor that integrates with your browser and lets you easily post to your blog. You can drag and drop formatted text from pages you are browsing, take notes, and post to your blog.

Some of the enhancements over the last revision:

  • Navbar is now collapsed by default
  • Rotated nav bar toggle to show direction of flyout
  • Shrunk sidebar toggle to match navbar toggle
  • Restyled publish button to be more consistent
  • Moved navbar and sidebar toggles into the top row the editor to save space
  • Categories have been relabeled as tags
  • Added confirmation to post deletion
  • Blog list now uses radio buttons
  • Added link to each blog in blog list
  • Removed “View this blog” link from bottom of editor
  • Put blogs, tags in groupboxes
  • Moved “add/edit blog” button into groupbox
  • Moved “add tag” button into groupbox
  • Fixed bug where all spaces were being encoded as
  • Added Strong, Em buttons to editor
  • Fixed blockquote button
  • Added Dutch translation
There are some additional enhancements we would like to see. A close window button in the upper right part of the screen would be the first on our list. The code is xml compatible and is fine for most cross over applications. There are some bugs reported however when working with embedded Feedburner links and using certain API like Digg in active posts that do some quirky things with the DIV statements but they are tolerable.

Again this is a great tool for the active blogger. The developer has also set up a user forum rather recently so it will remain to be seen how well the forum will be moderated and whether or not users will find it useful. We are hopeful as this is a great add on for the Firefox browser when configured properly.

It can be found at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1730

Al-Qaeda Tape is a Re-Run

A number of sources have now confirmed that the recent images of Osama Bin Laden are from footage taken in 2001. It seemed pretty clear to most casual observers that the footage was probably historic. There has now been at least a handful of sites that have matched it with video from their archives... --- [Hat Tip: HotAir ]

Update: Mystery solved, thanks to Jim. I googled around based on the screencap he found and discovered this article at CBS from May 2002. Luckily they’re exceptionally good about archiving their video so you can watch a clip from that Bin Laden tape right in the sidebar at the link. Compare a still from that one…

…with a still from the clip released today, noting the sloping mountain on the left and the leaves overhead:

Same video. Incidentally, that earlier video was obtained by something called the Al-Ansaar Islamic news agency, which is based in Britain. They claimed in May 2002 that they got it from a Pakistani intelligence officer a month earlier and that parts had been shot in an Afghan town called Spinboldak in March.

However government agencies are worried about what hidden message may be in the tape from Zawahiri. It has been suggested as a "trigger" for some large action that has been in the planning stages.

The feds are already worried about Zawahiri’s new tape containing some sort of signal to jihadis in the field. The fact that it’s followed by the first new Osama video in almost three years won’t do anything to reassure them. It’s also worth noting that the quote in the middle here is repeated three times, just like the quote at the end of the Zawahiri tape that’s got the feds nervous. It comes from Volume 4, Book 52, Number 54 of the Bukhari translation of the hadith; Zawahiri’s quote came from Mohammed’s last sermon. Whether any of that is significant in and of itself, I have no idea. -- Hot Air

The Origins of 666 Discovered

A modern day Divinci Code may have been recently uncovered providing some unsettling insight that might give you reason to pause.

Normally we don't post theological articles but this one is more archaeological and scientific to some extent than religious although the implications will become obvious to you when you read through the research and dissection below. It is hard to dismiss this all as mere coincidence. Especially when the symbols are staring right back at all of us in our faces. The following is an excerpt of one of the most in depth translations of the derivation of the so called "mark of the beast" from ancient manuscripts that we have come across.

References can be found in the link at the end:

Do any of you see anything similar compared to the image below?
You might have to tilt your head to the right a little!

The word Allah in Arabic

The first picture should make it a LOT more clear since the word Allah is turned which matches the 350ad text from Revelation.

Where do you see this today?

It is what is written on the green banners and green arm-bands that Muslims wear at the protests, rally, parades, dancing in the streets like on 9/11, etc.

--- [Hat Tip: mandymanners and webminister]

By the way... look carefully at the scarves that are worm by suicide bombers. Whether they are aware of it or not they are carrying this mark. Prophetic?

It is also what the Martyrs for Islam wear on their heads and right arms when then blow themselves-up yelling "Alla Akbar", or "God is great". -- source

Hmmm... how do you like them apples ??

If you find this interesting you can read the entire article:
Chi Xi Stigma the number of the beast 666

There are numerous embedded linked references for you to follow in order for you to make up your own mind. The sources are varied. Again... difficult to discount as mere coincidence in our opinion.

The connection being made is symbolic in nature altered over hundreds of years and thus free for anyone to accept or reject. That's is the nature of free will and choice by the way. Sometimes one can't see the forest from the trees. We all need to wonder if we are not living through one of those times.

Ted Rall Depraved Cartoonist Now Syndicates for Al Qaeda

There are times when the 1st Amendment really takes a beating. Well this is one of those times.
We have published our fair share of controversial political cartoons on this site since 2003 but the strip published today by Ted Rall has really crossed the line from typical left wing extremism to total depravity.

One has to ask what type of brain tumor Ted Rall has lodged in his cerebellum to come up with such a distasteful cartoon strip and point of view and still remain a contributing artist for Universal Press Syndicate? In one fell swoop he has managed to denigrate every soldier that has ever given up his life or limbs for this country, insulted their families, and mocked the very idea of personal sacrifice for the greater good.

Now one might think that Mr. Rall is a pretty brave person. So brave in fact that we are sure he is prepared to take up a request for him to do a poster presentation of his fine artwork to the troops over at Ft. Bragg. After all, you can tell by his strip that he truly has the best intentions and wants to help educate the poor mis-informed and mis-guided military and help them see and experience his path of enlightenment.

Alas however it is rumored that Ted Rall may instead actually be on his way to the mountains of Pakistan to seek out his true followers, advisers and coaches who will surely appreciate his efforts at enlightening both the American military and the general public with his "hard hitting" points of view. We suspect that his cartoons will now not only be syndicated directly from his new homeland, but will also have a direct feed right into Aljazeera. --- staff satire ZZ N&S

There is indeed a 1st Amendment that thankfully protects our right to free speech. That is a right that has been established by the blood of brave men and women who fought and died for that belief. The beautiful thing about the 1st Amendment, it allows individuals to express themselves so that others can hear, see and understand that individual's true inner self and belief...

I give you Ted Rall's true inner self....

While we certainly are not in favor of censorship, (Universal Press should make that call), we however feel obligated to take a dump on Ted's work here at ZZ N&S as part of OUR constitutional 1st Amendment rights.
The staff at ZZ N&S thank the Men and Women of the Armed Forces for ensuring that those rights are not trampled on by those bomb vest strapping Neanderthals that would have us living back in the Dark Ages while bowing to Mecca!!

The following snapshot is courtesy of a comment on LGF. We suspect this was a snapshot of Ted incognito on his way to SFO to catch that plane flight to Pakistan.

Bush Poised to Ask For CIA Funding to Watch Al Qaeda Grow

Has the CIA turned into a "watch from a distance" organization? Scott Ott explores this possibility in his sarcastic piece below where the President is to ask Congress for more funding to support the role of the CIA "to watch Al-Qaeda grow". You can connect the dots yourself. One does have to wonder what kind of support we are really providing the Pakistani government to help identify and bomb the be Jesus out of these Al Qaeda camps? What evidence does the CIA really have as a foundation of their reports?

Consider this: If the evidence is credible then what has the Pakistani government been doing about it and have they been asleep at the switch all this time? Is the new report another example of internal political mis-information to be fed to Congress and the American people leading up to the election? Who can really say?

(2007-07-12) — As details of a new top-secret threat assessment begin leaking to the media through the usual intelligence community channels, President George Bush stands poised to ask Congress
for more funding to boost the CIA’s ability to watch al-Qaeda grow.

The unreleased National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) will show a resurgent al Qaeda — with training facilities, money and communication abilities not seen since 2001 — enjoying safe haven in the western tribal regions of Pakistan, a U.S. ally. While the president reportedly continues to respect the territorial integrity of Pakistan’s terrorist havens, and has no plans to violate Pakistan’s sovereignty with massive air strikes on al Qaeda training camps there, he will urge Congress to “help me reduce the surprise factor of the inevitable attacks on our soil by increasing our ability to observe the growth of our sworn enemies.”

Meanwhile, an internal White House memorandum, leaked to The Washington Post, suggests that the Bush administration abandon aggressive statements about the so-called “war on terror” and instead borrow jargon from the National Weather Service, referring to “terror watches” and “terror warnings”. A “terror watch” would indicate a high probability of attack on U.S. soil, while a “terror warning” means an attack has already happened and more might come. “Of course,” the White House memo says, “as with the violent weather watches and warnings, citizens will simply have to hunker down and hope they don’t get hurt.

After all, like the weather, you can talk about terrorism and you can see it coming from a distance, but ultimately, you can’t really do anything about it.”

20 Reasons for Gun Control

1. Banning guns works, which is why New York, DC, & Chicago cops need guns.

2. Washington DC's low murder rate of 69 per 100,000 is due to strict gun control, and Indianapolis' high murder rate of 9 per 100,000 is due to the lack of gun control.

3. Statistics showing high murder rates justify gun control but statistics showing increasing murder rates after gun control are "just statistics."

4. The Brady Bill and the Assault Weapons Ban, both of which went into effect in 1994 are responsible for the decrease in violent crime rates, which have been declining since 1991.

5. We must get rid of guns because a deranged lunatic may go on a shooting spree at any time and anyone who would own a gun out of fear of such a lunatic is paranoid.

6. The more helpless you are the safer you are from criminals.

7. An intruder will be incapacitated by tear gas or oven spray, but if shot with a .357 Magnum will get angry and kill you.

8. A woman raped and strangled is morally superior to a woman with a smoking gun and a dead rapist at her feet.

9. When confronted by violent criminals, you should "put up no defense- give them what they want, or run" (Handgun Control Inc. Chairman Pete Shields, Guns Don't Die - People Do, 1981, p.125).

10. The New England Journal of Medicine is filled with expert advice about guns; just like Guns & Ammo has some excellent treatises on heart surgery.

11. One should consult an automotive engineer for safer seatbelts, a civil engineer for a better bridge, a surgeon for internal medicine, a computer programmer for hard drive problems, and Sarah Brady for firearms expertise.

12. The 2nd Amendment, ratified in 1787, refers to the National Guard, which was created 130 years later, in 1917.

13. The National Guard, federally funded, with bases on federal land, using federally-owned weapons vehicles buildings and uniforms, punishing trespassers under federal law, is a "state" militia.

14. These phrases: "right of the people peaceably to assemble," "right of the people to be secure in their homes," "enumerations herein of certain rights shall not be construed to disparage others retained by the people," and "The powers not delegated herein are reserved to the states respectively, and to the people" all refer to individuals, but "the right of the people to keep and bear arm" refers to the state.

15. "The Constitution is strong and will never change." But we should ban and seize all guns thereby violating the 2nd, 4th, and 5thAmendments to that Constitution.

16. Rifles and handguns aren't necessary to national defense! Of course, the army has hundreds of thousands of them.

17. Private citizens shouldn't have handguns, because they aren't "military weapons", but private citizens shouldn't have "assault rifles", because they are military weapons.

18. The NRA's attempt to run a "don't touch" campaign about kids handling guns is propaganda, but the anti-gun lobby's attempt to run a "don't touch" campaign is responsible social activity.

19. Guns are so complex that special training is necessary to use them properly, and so simple to use that they make murder easy.

20. In spite of waiting periods, background checks, finger printing, government forms, etc., guns today are too readily available, which is responsible for recent school shootings. In the 1940's, 1950's and1960's, anyone could buy guns at hardware stores, army surplus stores, gas stations, variety stores, Sears mail order, no waiting, no background check, no fingerprints, no government forms and there were no school shootings.

Some food for thought on the double standards that exist in the gun control debate. We thought sharing this excerpt from the sarcastic 40 Reasons for Gun Control was a good way to start off the day. -- ed.

Bush Meets Bobby McGee

--- [Hat Tip: C&F]

President George Bush has nothing to loose by not only commuting Scooter Libby's sentence but also pardoning him before he leaves office. It's his party that's taking a beating! To the dismay of many Republicans, the decider has the power and there is no doubt that he intends to use it as he sees fit regardless of the ramifications on the 2008 election. Like Bill Clinton, who certainly had a field day signing off on numerous pardons before he left office, there is no doubt that GW will follow in Bill's footsteps.

By the way. Here is another insightful political cartoon on the same subject. It also reflects some of the destructive perception that this decision to commute Libby's sentence has created. Politicians... a laugh a minute.

Gore's Live Earth Disaster Down Under

Seems like the concert in Sydney was a bit of disappointment if not a public relations disaster as thousands were very upset about the price gouging and the money making exploitation of the "green" bandwagon that recording artists, promoters and would be Presidential candidates have jumped on.

Hey mate! Would you pay $50 for a Fosters?? Mass hypnosis and hysteria lining the pockets of promoters. Too bad that even on the left side of the political spectrum capitalism is alive and well fueling the exploitation of idealism and the people's general love of music.

Here is an article directly from the Sydney Morning Herald :

Joel Gibson

July 9, 2007

Out front, Crowded House were getting reacquainted, Missy Higgins made a cameo with Paul Kelly, and a beamed message from the "former next president of the United States", Al Gore, told the 45,000-strong throng they had the power to halt climate change.

But out back, where revelers go to buy their fluids and to get rid of them, and where big events often live or die, there was a different kind of drought. Faced with record beer queues, thirsty fans at Saturday's Live Earth concert at Sydney's Aussie Stadium were seen by the Herald offering others $50 for their beer rather than wait an hour to buy refreshments.

Thousands, deprived of the traditional rock 'n' roll accompaniment, went to a Coca-Cola stand, forgetting that its manufacturers had been under fire in India for allegedly creating water shortages and pollution around their bottling facilities.

Scores were seen leaving within the first two hours of the nine-hour festival, fed up with the lack of basic services, cutting their losses on a $99 ticket. Gate attendants were heard telling the human tide that they should complain to the promoter.

It was "unAustralian", one spectator protested. "This is what happens when you let hippies organize a big event," another said. One woman, asked by Missy Higgins "how you all are back there", earned a wry round of applause from the stands when she shouted: "Sober."

But Rina Ferris, a spokeswoman for the event's promoters, Michael Chugg and Mark Pope, said neither the venue nor the promoter had received a single complaint. And queues and sobriety were not enough to prevent the global party from being a roaring success for those who stuck it out until the dying strains of Crowded House.

"Live" Carbon Litter
Squads of pamphleteers handed out tips - on recycled paper - about tackling climate change. The stadium's hoardings were covered with the event's "seven pledges" for improving our carbon footprint.

Police charged 19 people with drug offenses.

The Sydney event was one of eight Live Earth concerts. . The others were in Tokyo, Shanghai, Hamburg, London, Johannesburg, New York and Rio de Janeiro, with a token gig in Antarctica.

In Britain, organizers had to explain Madonna's participation after the US Fox News Network revealed her links to some of the world's biggest polluters. Her Ray of Light Foundation has $US4.2 billion of shares in companies such as the aluminum giant Alcoa, the Ford Motor Company and Weyerhaeuser, a forest products company.

Kevin Wall, the founder of Live Earth, told London's Sunday Telegraph: "Madonna is here today, which shows her commitment. Today we're not focusing on what she or any of the artists may have done in their past; it is about the future."

Greenpeace criticized the German leg of the concerts because the carmaker Daimler-Chrysler had been chosen as a sponsor. --- [Hat Tip: Sydney Morning Herald]

Then this set of comments from Sir Bob Geldof the organizer of the Live Aid and Live 8 Concert was very revealing. Does anyone suppose that these concerts were engineered to give Al Gore greater exposure as a potential late Presidential candidate at the end of the Summer? Count on it...

Sir Bob Geldof has slammed Al Gore's upcoming global warming awareness concert Live Earth.

The musician - the organiser of the Live Aid and Live 8 concerts which raised money and aid for the Third World - is furious he has been linked with the eco-friendly event, and has branded it a waste of time.

Geldof raged to Holland's De Volkskrant newpaper: "It sounds like Live 8. I'm getting lots of responses from people who think I am organising it.

"I would only organise Live Earth if I could go on stage and announce concrete environmental measures from the American presidential candidates, Congress or major corporations.

"They haven't got those guarantees, so it's just an enormous pop concert or the umpteenth time that, say, Madonna or Coldplay get up on stage.

"I hope they're a success. But why is Gore actually organising them? To make us aware of the greenhouse effect? Everybody's known about that problem for years. We are all conscious of global warming."

Mama Moonbat Challanges Pelosi

Just when you thought she was gone, like a bad dream (for the left) she is back. This time she is taking aim at Nancy Pelosi for not starting impeachment proceedings against the President. Good luck Cindy! Here's to wishing you a successful campaign in removing Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the Democratic Congress while you are at it. In fact, why aren't you running for President? [ Read the following is from the Associated Press ]

Sheehan - Chavez Duo
CRAWFORD) - Cindy Sheehan, the soldier's mother who galvanized the anti-war movement, said Sunday that she plans to run against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi unless she introduces articles of impeachment against President Bush in the next two weeks.

Sheehan said she will run against the San Francisco Democrat in 2008 as an independent if Pelosi does not seek by July 23 to impeach Bush. That's when Sheehan and her supporters are to arrive in Washington, D.C., after a 13-day caravan and walking tour starting next week from the group's war protest site near Bush's Crawford ranch.

"Democrats and Americans feel betrayed by the Democratic leadership," Sheehan told The Associated Press. "We hired them to bring an end to the war. I'm not too far from San Francisco, so it wouldn't be too big of a move for me. I would give her a run for her money."

Messages left with Pelosi's staff were not immediately returned.

She plans her official candidacy announcement Tuesday. Sunday wrapped up what is expected to be her final weekend at the 5-acre Crawford lot that she sold to California radio talk show host Bree Walker, who plans to keep it open to protesters. --- Associated Press

The fact that media still covers the rantings of this lunatic is one more example of how screwed up our main stream media really is. Leave it to Associated Press. This is a woman that needs to be committed not given a by line.

Proof of the need for an extra dose of lithium is the following photo taken of Cindy Sheehan as she endorses Mercedes Benz for the Presidency of the United States in the last election:
